The State Tourism Agency and Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau has today organized a National Tourism Summit.
Making an opening speech, the Agency Chairman Fuad Naghiyev said that development of tourism in Azerbaijan is important and this field one of the priorities of the economy.
"Today is a remarkable day for the State Tourism Agency. The state body is holding a wide event for public for the first time. As you know, the agency was established in April 2018 upon the order of President Ilham Aliyev. Seven months have already passed since that time. You agree that this is not a long period for a newly established agency. We have been entrusted to develop this field and we understand this responsibility. The country’s tourism has achieved definite successes during the past years. However, we think we still need some ways to pass. We regularly report about our activity since inception because transparency is priority for us. This event aims at introducing the way we passed," he said.
