Kazakh Majilis chairman Nurlan Nigmatulin held a meeting with the vice speaker of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Ziyafat Asgarov.
Speaking to Asgarov, Chairman of the Kazakh Majilis Nurlan Nigmatulin stressed the importance of signing the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, which, according to Nigmatulin, opens up a new era in the interaction of Caspian littoral states.
The sides also spoke for deepening of relations between the Kazakh and Azerbaijani MPs.
Notably, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the International Parliamentary Conference 'Astana - A Center of Global Integration, Security and Peace'.
