The opening of the House Museum of Niyazi, an outstanding Azeri conductor and composer, took place on September 18, 1994, on National Music Day. Currently more than 6200 exhibits are kept at the House Museum. They mainly include Niyazi’s personal note manuscripts, his library, music books, programmes, posters, documents, different remembrances, received presents, furniture and other objects. The House Museum consists of five rooms, which are a dining room, a bedroom, a living room, a study and an exposition hall. The dining room, bedroom and study were preserved in a memorial way, the way they looked in his lifetime. On the walls one can see different photographs which were once hung by Maestro. The picture that attracts attention the most is the one by Togrul Narimanbeyov. It contains seven images of Maestro, with only one of them pictured explicitly, whereas the other six are hidden.
