The Juma mosque – is situated in the centre of Buzovna settlement of Baku city. The construction of the mosque was first began by the inhabitant of the village Imrali in 1900. But the Armenian-Muslim war that happened at that time didn’t allow the completion of the construction of this mosque. The construction of the mosque for the second time began in 1918, but it remained incomplete again. Though the construction of this mosque began for the third time in 1990, the construction works were not completed. The Juma Mosque of Buzovna has specific peculiarities from the point of view of architectural style. The mosque has been built of flagstones entirely, and has been laid with stone sheet from the facade. This mosque has not a minaret and dome. The ceiling is in the form of a rectangle, the roof has been laid with tar. The architectural style of the mosque was also damaged during the next conducted repairing-reconstruction works. It is proved by that the upper part of the alter of the mosque stands on the roof. Stone inscriptions have been engraved in Arabic in the facade, as well as on the inner walls of this mosque. And the words “La ilaha illallah, Mahammadan rasulullah” have been written on the alter.
