On March 7, world-renowned Japanese composer, musician, Grammy and Golden Globe Award-winner Kitarō will give a concert at Heydar Aliyev Center for the first time.
The Center told that Kitarō will perform in Baku with his new Final call program. His “Final call” album was nominated to the 56th "Grammy" award in 2014.
The musician, who became the beloved of millions during his 30-year music career, will accompanied by 36-piece orchestra.
His birth name is Masanori Takahashi and he is well-known figure of the New Age genre. He combines ethnic motifs with the elements of electronic instruments. Kitarō didn’t get music education and mastered the subtleties of the music on his own. He plays guitar, flute, drums and so on, along with keyboard instruments. He is also known as a filmmaker and photographer.
Kitarō won a Golden Globe Award with his soundtrack for “Heaven and Earth” film in 1993 and was nominated for Grammy Award several times. Thinking Of You is an album by Kitarō won at the 43rd Grammy Awards for Best New Age Album.
