Students will no more be expelled from universities for failing in credit-point system in Azerbaijan.
Deputy head of Information Department of the Education Ministry, head of the Department for Work with NGOs and media, Jasarat Valehov said that according to the “Provision regulations on the transfer, exemption, reinstatement and study leave of students of bachelor and master’s degree programs”, students will be able to continue their studies as long as they achieve success in credit-point system: “Students will be expelled from universities in some cases - if a student is transferred to another university at his or her request, fragrantly violates university discipline and is not registered for next academic year and has health problems (according to the reference of medical advisory commission).”
Valehov noted that there are no limits for reinstatement of students to universities. Students, who have received education at universities of special expertise, but expelled due to health reasons, as well as those who were expelled from foreign universities for any reason, can be reinstated at the relevant civilian universities of Azerbaijan in accordance with their specialties.
