27.2.2014

Labor books will be abolished in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan's Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Salim Muslumov told journalists that labor books will be replaced with e-notifications.

He said that every employer can get information about a new employee from electronic database while signing a contract.

Muslumov noted that no labor book will be needed: “This rule is applied all over the world. This process will be rapidly implemented in Azerbaijan. We are currently taking relevant measures under the law and instructions given by the Cabinet of Ministers. All necessary software is ready. Draft rules have been developed and are being agreed with the other central executive authorities. I think that e-notifications will be provided soon. It will eventually lead to the abolition of labor books.”
