Number of tourists increased in Georgia in the first half of this year

The number of the tourists has increased by 45% in Georgia in the first six months of the year, Prime Minister Nika Gilauri said, APA’s Georgia bureau reports.
Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vera Kobalia said 1.2 million tourists came to Georgia in the first half of the year.
“80% of the tourists were placed in the hotels in Adjara. Tourists from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine and Russia come to rest in our country. There are direct flights for the tourists from Iran and Israel,” she said.
