President Ilham Aliyev has today attended the opening of the new building of the Central Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the library. The first reader's card of the library was presented to the President.
ANAS President Akif Alizadeh informed the Head of State about the conditions created in the new building of the library.
The President was informed that about 4 million books would be kept in indoor, outdoor and special spaces of the library. More than 1 000 readers will use e-books and printed books at 14 reading rooms at the same time.
Information Resources Center will operate along with the Central Library in the new building. The main goal of both centers is to provide an information database for high-level scientific researches.
ANAS Central Library will open up opportunities for the scientists to use rich resources of the world libraries.
