“The weather observed in the western regions last night was expected”, Director of the weather forecast bureau of the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Umayra Taghiyeva told.
She said that forecasts for June 7 informed about it. “Local heavy rains, hails and west winds were forecasted in mountainous and sub-mountainous areas on June 9-10. According to yesterday’s forecast, the unstable weather condition in the country will continue till June 14. During this period intermittent heavy rains and hails are expected especially in the mountainous and sub-mountainous regions. First, south-west wind will intensify and on June 13, west, north-west wind will intensify. North wind will blow in Baku and Absheron peninsula on June 13. Consequently the temperature will drop in the capital. If the temperature was 32…33 C last days, it will be 22…26 C on June 13.
Taghiyeva said that the weather will be unstable in the country till June 14. It will be rainy in the evening and at night and heavy rains are expected in the mountainous and sub-mountainous regions, in the northern and western regions. Strong wind is especially expected in Absheron peninsula on June 13.
