Constituent congress of World Azerbaijani Youth Union starts in Baku

The constituent congress of the World Azerbaijani Youth Union has started at Gulustan Palace in Baku. The participants of the congress first visited Heydar Aliyev’s memorial in the Alley of Honor and Martyrs’ Alley.

The official opening ceremony of the congress started with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan. Congress has brought together about 500 delegates and guests, including representatives of the organizations founded by the Azerbaijani youth abroad, representatives of the Azerbaijani youth organizations, young people studying at prestigious world universities, as well as leaders of the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations.

Discussions will be held on three panels. “Organization of Azerbaijani youth living abroad and integration into society as one of important elements of intercultural dialogue” will be discussed in the first panel. The topic of the second panel will be “Azerbaijani lobby-building: realities of contemporary world and historical experience at students` glance”, the topic of the third panel will be “Using new educational methods and modern information technologies for informing the world community about Azerbaijani realities”.

The documents of the congress will be discussed after the discussions on panels will be over. The statute of the World Azerbaijani Youth Union, the resolution of the constituent congress of the World Azerbaijani Youth Union, 2012-2015 Action Programme and other documents will be adopted.
