Azerbaijan`s capital will mark the 110th anniversary of the
establishment of a first secular school for girls in the Muslim East
with a high-level international scientific symposium. The event, to be
organized by the National Museum of History of ANAS with the support of
State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, will take place
in October.
The symposium is aimed at providing an insight into the history of
women's education, highlighting Eastern and Western experience and
promoting the role of women in socio-political and cultural life. The
forum will bring together representatives from CIS, Turkey and other
countries.
