On September 20, a groundbreaking ceremony of the South Gas Corridor Extension will be held in Baku, said the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Rovnag Abdullayev.
“This step plans transportation of Shahdeniz gas to Turkey through Sangacghal terminal, thereafter to Europe”, Abdullayev said.
SOCAR president added that Turkey will host groundbreaking ceremony of the TANAP in early 2015: “Related planning and geological works are already underway. Necessary tenders have been announced. Construction and living camps are ready. Field works will start from April”.
