Gobustan Week will be organized at the UNESCO Headquarters by the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to UNESCO, Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
On September 15, an exhibition of with photos reflecting rock carvings and caves of Gobustan will be held and the ballet “Shadows of Gobustan” will be staged at UNESCO Headquarters to promote the Gobustan State Historical-Artistic Reserve that is included to UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism told.
Dancers of Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, British choreographer Maxine Braham and other leading experts were involved in the event.
Officials of Azerbaijani, UNESCO Secretariat and UNESCO member states as well as the delegation led by Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev will attend the event.
On 16 September, the ballet “Shadows of Gobustan” will be staged in Strasbourg.
