Program popularizing national costumes of Azerbaijan launched in Argentina

The program aims to popularize Azerbaijan in Argentina and let Argentineans to learn about culture and traditions of the country. The program “National costumes of Azerbaijan and their sewing” has been launched in design and architecture department of Belgrano University in Buenos-Aires with the help of the Azerbaijani embassy in Argentina.

The embassy officers made a presentation about history, rich cultural heritage and present-day realities of Azerbaijan on the first day of the program, sources in the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan said.
Later, the program participants were briefed on history of national costumes of Azerbaijan, the factors that helped to shape them, forms and major elements, fabrics, decoration and accessories used to sew them.
The embassy will provide the students of the design and architecture department of the Belgrano University with necessary information as part of the program that will last five months.
Display of national costumes of Azerbaijan sown by Argentinean students will mark the end of the program.
