Weather to stabilize in Baku from today

As predicted, the weather has been deteriorated in Azerbaijan since October 19, strong north-west wind has blown, wind speed has increased in some areas and it has been raining.

Senior hydrologist of the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Asif Verdiyev told that the highest amount of precipitation was recorded in Lankaran-Astara region.

He said that sleet and snow fell in Guba, Laza station of Gusar and Kervez. The north-west was strong in Baku and Absheron peninsula.

The wind speed reached 30 m/s in Baku and Absheron peninsula and central lowland regions. The wind speed ranged at 15-25 m/s in other regions.

He mentioned that this weather condition will continue throughout the day. The north wind will calm down after noon in Baku and Absheron peninsula. The amount of precipitation will gradually decrease. The unstable weather will continue in the regions. Rain is expected in some regions on October 21. The weather will be mainly dry and mild on September 22-23.
