Old and damaged gramophone recordings from Azerbaijan's Akhundzade National Library are being recorded onto disc to form an electronic database. The discs will be launched in September.
A catalogue of the Azerbaijan Sound Heritage Achive has been produced as part of the project. The catalogue will be sent to the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, music schools and experts.
Electronic versions of rare books stored in the library archives have also been created and this project will soon have its public launch.
