SOCAR has laid the Baku talents school foundation today in the Bibiheybat settlement in a territory cleaned from oil pollution.
The company management headed by President Rovnag Abdullayev attended the ceremony. Representatives of the English teaching and consulting company Gabbitas and contest winners attended the ceremony.
The school is designed to train 1,200 students. About 75-100 three-year-old children have been admitted this year.
In case of great interest, 4-5 year old children will be admitted in September 2012 and January 2013.
The school will operate in accordance with the standards of English schools.
About 32 rooms for primary school pupils and 37 rooms for senior pupils will be built.
Rooms with an area of 45 square meters will be constructed in accordance with modern requirements and are equipped with all necessary equipment.
An auditorium for 600 people, a gym, a swimming pool, soccer and basketball areas, a few canteens and kitchens for 250 and 300 people, as well as a hostel for 120 people for the primary and secondary schools will be built.
Classes in kindergarten will begin in September this year, primary and secondary school - in September 2013.
