President Ilham Aliyev issued a decree on amendments to the “Statute on the State Student Admission Commission of the Azerbaijan Republic”, which was confirmed under the decree #219 on April 6, 2005.
Points on final assessment (attestation) of the knowledge of the pupils of the comprehensive schools, scientific-methodical monitoring of the textbooks, teaching aids used in the comprehensive schools have been added to the “Statute on the State Student Admission Commission of the Azerbaijan Republic”.
According to the annexes, SSAC is to conduct scientific-methodical monitoring of the textbooks, teaching aids used in the comprehensive schools within a month, establish a structural department, submit to the Cabinet of Ministers its proposals on establishment of three regional departments and solve the other related issues.
The Education Ministry must give the material and technical equipment and electronic data base for final assessment (attestation) of the knowledge of the pupils of the comprehensive schools conducting the general education to the SSAC in 15 days.
Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers must ensure the realization of final assessment (attestation) of the knowledge of the pupils of the comprehensive schools conducting the general education and allocation of necessary financial means to the SSAC within a month for maintenance of additional space due to establishment of new organizations in accordance with the Decree, prepare its proposals on coordination of the presidential acts with this Decree and present it to the President within 3 months, ensure coordination of normative legal acts of the Cabinet of Ministers to this Decree. The Justice Ministry must ensure the coordination of normative legal acts and normative acts of central executive bodies to this Decree and inform the Cabinet of Ministers on it.
