Baku hosts 22nd international Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition

The 22nd largest event of the energy sector of the Caspian region - Caspian oil and gas Exhibition and Conference (Caspian Oil & Gas 2015) has kicked off in Baku today.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is attending the opening ceremony of the event.

Senior adviser of ITE Group Plc Sir Andrew Wood will deliver a keynote speech.

Then Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will address the conference.

Lord Mayor of the City of London Alderman Alan Yarrow will render greetings of British Prime Minister David Cameron at the ceremony. Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Janusz Piechociński and Iraqi Oil Minister Adil Abdulmahdi Hassan Shubber will also deliver speeches.

The organizers of the exhibition and conference that will last till June 5 are ITE Group and its partner Iteca Caspian. As an internationally recognized platform and a major event in the oil and gas industry in the region, for over 20 years the exhibition and conference have attracted the most senior level directors to discuss key oil and gas projects in the Caspian region and to ensure energy security. The Ministry for Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Oil and Gas Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) show invaluable support for Caspian Oil and Gas. More than 300 companies are taking part in the Caspian Oil and Gas exhibition. The exhibition area is taking up three pavilions of the Baku Expo Center. The event is divided into sections, including new technologies in oil extraction and energy resource transportation, storage systems for oil and gas, current and future oil and gas projects in the region and other important fields.
