The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, official partner of the Eurovision-2012 Organizing Committee, is carrying out one more humanist action alongside with the active participation in the song contest preparations.
The Foundation declared essay competition on theme “I discover Azerbaijan” among the disabled children in the Eurovision 2012 participating countries.
The competition creates an opportunity to know Azerbaijan, its history and rich culture. Holding it between disabled children and teenagers arises from humanistic principles, to which the Heydar Aliyev Foundation attaches great importance.
The competition is held among the schoolchildren at the age of 9-18. Deadline of the essay submission expired on April 30. The organizing committee reviewed the online essays and selected the winners.
Two winners from every participant countries and persons, accompanying them, will visit Azerbaijan. They will be provided with accommodation and transport. Definite walking tours and recreation program will be organized for them. They will also have a chance to get acquainted with Baku and witness the final show of the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest.
