The number of average number hired workers made 1,367,400. Of this, 846,400 were in state sector of economy, 521,000 – in non-state sector.
State Statistical Committee says 24.5% of hired workers was in education, 19.8% - in trade, repair of transport facilities, 12.4% - in industry, 9.6% - in health and social services to population, 6.3% - in construction, 4.8% - in transport and storehouse economy, 3.2% - in professional, scientific and technical sphere, 2.9% - in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 1.9% - in information and communication sphere and 14.6% - in other spheres of economy.
The average monthly salary of hired workers in Azerbaijan made AZN 394.2 in March, in January –March it rose 8.7% to AZN 378.9, compared with a year ago, State Statistical Committee told.
