President of Azerbaijan has added to the list of 500 most influential Muslims of the world.
The list of 500 most influential Muslims (The Muslim 500-2016) has been made public by the Royal Islamic Center for Strategic Studies of Amman with the support of the Center of Muslim-Christian mutual understanding in Georgetown.
All the same, the ranking also included the head of the Caucasus Muslims Office sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade and mugam singer Alim Gasimov. King of Jordan Abdullah bin al-Hussein tops the list. He is followed by imam of the Cairo Al-Azhar university, sheikh Ahmad Muhammad al-Tayib. King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdel Aziz is the third in the list.
Meanwhile, The Muslim 500 also includes President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimukhammadov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
The list is made public every year since 2009.
