An annual Indian food festival has been held in Grand Hotel Europe here. The festival was co-organized by Indian Embassy in Baku and the Indian Association Azerbaijan.
The aim of the festival is to familiarize Azerbaijanis with Indian Cuisine and provide aid for boosting cultural relations between Azerbaijan and India.
Addressing the event, Indian ambassador to Azerbaijan Debnad Show briefed participants on friendship relations between the two countries. He stressed the necessity of studying the cuisine and culture of Azerbaijan and India.
Azeri dancer Okhsana Rasulova performed modern and ancient Indian dances.
The sale exhibition of adornments brought from India was organized in the framework of the festival.
Participants got familiar with sari and henna traditions of the country.
Money raised from the festival will be spent on charitable purposes.
