28.6.2012

Vehicle movement on certain streets and avenues of Baku will be restricted from June 28 to ensure the safety of official guests arriving in Baku from June 27 to July 2 to attend the regional forum Crans Montana, head of the Baku Police Department Traffic Vagif Asadov told.

In addition, vehicle traffic in the direction of Sangachal, Gobustan and reserve Gala from Azneft square will also be temporarily restricted and modified, Asadov said.

Main State Traffic Police Office calls drivers to use alternative roads or, if possible, not to use private transport, and to give preference to public transport during the specified period in order to avoid an accident and not to create a dense traffic flow at these avenues and streets, Asadov added.

Baku will host the 23rd annual Crans Montana Forum from June 28 to July 1.

The forum will take place at the invitation of the Government of Azerbaijan. It will be devoted to the public and private governance as far as energy policy is concerned.
