The opening ceremony of new building of the State Museum of Azerbaijani Carpet and People Applied Art will be held in December this year.
The Minister of Culture and Tourism visited Bulgaria and invited his Bulgarian counterparts to the opening ceremony.
Foundation of the State Museum of Azerbaijani Carpet and People Applied Art was laid in the Seaside National Park in May, 2008. The museum’s new building is being constructed on the basis of joint project of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Culture and tourism and UNESCO.
The building is constructed in the form of roll of carpet. The total area of 4-storey museum building will be 18, 446 sq m.
