Azerbaijani film 'Nabat' to be demonstrated in Hiroshima

The commemorative events for the next anniversary of the nuclear bombardment of Hiroshima will include demonstrative of films this year.
Six films of different years, produced in different countries, have been invited for participation in the 'War and peace' international film program.
Azerbaijani film 'Nabat' about Karabakh war, produced by film director Elchin Musa oghlu on Azerbaycanfilm studio have also been honored for participation among others.
The annual commemorative events in memory of nuclear shelling victims, who became the symbol of the world movement for peace, will be held at the Memorial Park of Peace in Hiroshima.
The events will be attended by relatives of the victims, representatives of state bodies, foreign guests, Hiroshima residents.
The film will be demonstrated in Azerbaijani with Japanese and English subtitles.
Nabat is a 2014 Azerbaijani drama film directed by Elchin Musaoglu.The story is set during the Karabagh War and revolves around an old, sick ex-forestry worker and his wife Nabat whose son has died in battle. They live in a small isolated house far from the nearest village but to which Nabat has to go every couple of days to sell milk from their only cow. As war approaches ever closer the village is slowly deserted and following her husband's death, Nabat is left all alone to fend for herself.
Casts are Fatemah Motamed-Aria as Nabat, Vidadi Aliyev as Iskender, Sabir Mammadov as Major, Farhad Israfilov as Davud.
