The presentation of the first edition of the English-language version of Baku magazine is to be held in London in October 2011. The project is implemented jointly with the Conde Nast publishing house.
The new magazine, like its Russian-language analogue, successfully published in Russia since 2007 and led by Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR), initiator of the campaign (International Dialogue for Environmental Action - IDEA) Leyla Aliyeva, will introduce the now English-speaking reader not only the ancient culture, rich history, beautiful and wise tradition of the ancient land offire on the shores of the Caspian Sea, but also talk about the modern life of Azerbaijanis.
In addition, the "Baku", which is scheduled to release quarterly, promises to be a guide in the world of fashion trends worldwide. It will incorporate all the most interesting things about art, its heroes will be well-known authors of modern masterpieces, while the pages of "Baku" will be decorated with the works of recognized masters of art photography.
In the first issue the readers will meet with the work of Amy Sue, an American living in Paris, and shooting for British Vogue and Wonderland, as well as the works of Tom Craig, famous for his photos for the British Royal Geographical Society, currently collaborating with Vogue and Vanity Fair. The slogan is the issue is "Art. Culture. Azerbaijan".
That's why the creation of the English version of the magazine involves best and most famous designers and photographers of the world who help to make Azerbaijan nearer and dearer to every reader in every corner of the planet.
According to the editor-in-chief of the magazine Leyla Aliyeva, the magazine will be able to present to the world the lifestyle and philosophy of Azerbaijan as an amazing place where East and West peacefully co-exist and complement each other.
