The Fourth Gabala International Music Festival carried with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation ended on 5 August.
The concert that lasted for 13 days involved prominent musicians, art collectives, soloists, conductors from Azerbaijan and foreign countries, Gun.Az reports.
The festival ended with the performance of the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance of the orchestra soloist became another wonderful night of classic music on a high level.
The orchestra led by Swiss conductor Charles Dutois that holds two Grammies and over 40 international awards was accompanied by rector of the Baku Music Academy, people's artist, Shohtar order holder on piano Farhad Badalbayli, Azerbaijan State Philharmoniv rector, people's artist Murad Adigozalzade Dmitri Yablonski on violin, Teymur Suleymanbayli on saxophone, People's artist Shukur Samadov on clarinet.
The concert started from the overture 'Candide' by US composer Leonard Bernstein. The orchestra soloists devoted the second part of the concert fully to the samples of the creative activity of US composer George Gershvin.
