Growing up in a scrap yard, we use to fool around putting together some interesting models. Nothing compares to what these three German friends did with some spare time (about 7 months) and a cool €60,000.Armin Ciesielski, Peter Brakel and Walter Willer created the ultimate tribute to a legendary car, the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR. Affectionately known by its creators as the "Uhlenhaut Coupe," the car contains around 10,000 pieces of scrap metal and working gullwing doors. The recreation weighs in at around 2,205lbs.Only two models remain of the original 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, both of which are on display in the Mercedes-Benz museum.
