Over the past years the net of agreements envisaging cancellation of double taxation has expanded significantly.
47 of 51 agreements signed by Azerbaijan have already come into force, while the rest will be enacted upon completion of respective procedures.
According to sources in the Ministry of Taxes, the statement came from advisor of the Minister of Taxes Riyad Huseynov.
He said the Ministry of Taxes is currently working in this direction:
"Similar documents were signed with Spain, Malta, Sweden and Jordan.
"They have already been approved by the Azerbaijani side and will be inacted after passing internal procedures of the opposite party.
"Works are underway to coordinate agreements on cancellation of double taxation with such countries, as Turkmenistan, Portugal, Oman, Albania, Kyrgyzstan, India, Syria, Bangladesh and Malaysia."
