Foreign ministers of member countries of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) held in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek.
At the meeting Azerbaijan was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov.
Symbol of the organization was represented at the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting Khalafov told about the history of this organization, recalled the last summit in 2009 CCTS in Nakhchivan.
He said that the countries of the Council shall coordinate their action in international organizations. Khalafov said that Azerbaijan’s election a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council is also successfully CCTS.
Noting the role of Azerbaijan in the energy security of the region, Khalafov informed the participants about the project Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline, and together with Turkey TANAP project.
Deputy elaborate on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. However, he criticized the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group.
Recall that in the CCTS includes Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
At a meeting in Bishkek took part as well, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazikhanov, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazanbaev, CCTS Khalil Akynchy secretary general and head of TurkPA Ramil Hasanov.
Today will be the second summit of CCTS.
