Azerbaijani film The Murderer based on the play of writer Elchin, was shown at the 17th Tbilisi International Film Festival.
The festival was attended by director of the film Kamran Shahmardan and Executive Producer Katri Lyatt.
The festival was held in the Georgian capital from 28 November to 4 December.
The young man dates with women in order to make easy money. But one day he meets the woman, his school teacher he used to be in love with. Even the romance that occurs between them cannot prevent him from stealing from her. This story makes him uneasy. Hopeless and desperate he tortures himself and his lover. The woman, who is spiritually stronger than he is, loves and tries to save him. All this ends tragically, because right from the beginning the victim was searching for the savior (murderer).
The main roles are played by Eka Chkeidze and Apollon Kublashvili.
