Bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijani and Japan seismologists is being strengthening. The delegation led by the president of OYO Seismic Industry Corporation Toru Kajivaran arrived in Azerbaijan. The meeting has been today organized between the sides at the Republic Seismological Service Centre of Azerbaijan National Academy of Science. Press service of Seismological Service Centre told that general director of RSSC ANAS, doctor of science on geology and mineralogy Gurban Yetirmishli, the head of seismological department, doctor of science on geology and mineralogy Tahir Mammadli, deputy director of RSSC ANAS on scientific issues, doctor of philosophy on physics and mathematics Azay Rzayev and the head of geophysical department Talat Aliyev attended the meeting. Japan delegation was represented by the president of OYO Seismic Industry Corporation Toru Kajivaran, company’s vice-president Joji Harada and chief manager Takeshi Ohnishi.
The issue on extension of bilateral cooperation, including the seismic researches carried out in Azerbaijan was discussed during the meeting. Besides it, OYO Seismic Industry Corporation Toru Kajivaran gave detailed information about the seismic detectors produced by the company.
In his turn, Yetirmishli informed the delegation about the seismic researches carried out in Azerbaijan.
Japan seismologists will become familiar with RSSC ANAS Baku station tomorrow within their visit to Azerbaijan.
