Starting from the beginning of 2012, the Nar Mobile Company has launched 3G services for the first time in the Azerbaijani subway stations. While subscribers could benefit 2G/3G communication services at Sahil, Nizami and 28 May stations in March, currently, the number of 3G equipped subway stations has reached 22. 25% of tunnels are covered by the network. All remaining tunnels will be covered by the end of current year. This will enable subscribers to make calls, send SMS, surf in internet, benefit TV and other services comfortably while being in subway.
“As you know, one of the most used types of public transport is the subway and therefore, the deployment of the subway network has become a priority issue of our Company. I am very happy that the installation of network inside subway is finished successfully and our subscribers can already benefit 3G services at all subway stations. Currently, the Nar Mobile’s 3G mobile communication services have the speed of 15 mb per second” –noted Madam Leyla Nasrullayeva, Executive Director of Business Development and Communications Department.
