Azerbaijan invites Korea to participate in Bakutel exhibition-conference

Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov met with Korean new ambassador to Azerbaijan Choi Suk-inn.

The Ministry says the issues between Azerbaijan and Korea since 2005 have been approached, direction of memorandum of understanding signed in 2006-2007 between Azerbaijan and Korea on ICT sphere was discussed, at the meeting.

At the same time, successfully solution of issue on telecommunication equipment payment installed by Korean Daewoo Telecom in Nakhchivan AR was stressed. Thereafter, Azerbaijan-Korea cooperation in postal sphere, financial means suggested by Korean Export-Import Bank’s for application of e-government, as well studying of Azerbaijani students in Korean high schools were discussed at the meeting.

Minister Abbasov praised continuation of Azerbaijani students’ studying in Korean universities, including support of Korean government to the training of specialists on ICT sphere and increase of knowledge on this sphere.

At the same time, Abbasov considered presence of Korean companies in the projects on application of broadband internet services expedient and invited Korean delegation to participate in the 7th Internet Management Forum, including Bakutel exhibition-conference in Baku.
