In the framework of "Ganja-2017 CIS Cultural Capital" project, Ganja has hosted the First International Music Festival, jointly organized by the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation, Culture and Tourism Ministry, Ganja City Executive Power.
Firstly, “Gənc istedadlar” (Young Talents) concert program was organized in the Ganja city Mahsati Ganjavi Museum, performed by students of the Ganja Music College and Ganja State University.
At the end, Elmar Valiyev, Head of Ganja City Executive Power presented certificates to the festival participants.
Notably, on September 16, 2016, Ganja city was declared Cultural Capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) for 2017 year in the 25th anniversary summit of Council of the CIS Heads of States in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz Republic.
