Azeri children song and dance ensemble is participating in the 17th Turkish World Children Festival in Istanbul. Performance by Azeri children dance ensemble in Kadikoy square and Inoinu stadium aroused great interest.
Azeri children also took part in the Turkish World song contest held in the Fatih Eminonu Folklore Education Center and were awarded prizes.
The festival is organized by the Foundation for the Turkic World Research (TDAV)
About 40 children song and dance groups from Turkey, Azerbaijan, the Russian Federation, Iraq and Macedonia are participating in the festival.
The opening ceremony featured a march of children who came from Turkish speaking countries with national flags in their hands in Kadikoy district of Istanbul.
Deputy Governor of Istanbul Harun Kaya, head of the Foundation for the Turkic World Research, Professor Turan Yazqan and other officials attended the event.
