Azerbaijan developed investment project on provision of high-speed internet in Baku and regions, said the Head of the Information Society Development Department of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies Isbendiyar Aliyev.
According to him, this project covers 2013-2015. Within the project, the capital and the regions will be provided with high-speed internet via optic cables.
As a result of project, the speed of internet will be 10-30 Mbit/sec in the regions, 30 Mbit/sec in Baku.
He also noted that, 35% of settlements in Azerbaijan was provided with high-speed internet. Ever 1,000 internet users cause launch of 70 jobs.
