6.11.2012

“Slight activity is being observed in some landslide zones due to autumn and recent rains.

But the activity, which may cause serious problems, are not being observed”, Head of the National Geological Exploration Service under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Bakhtiyar Garalov told. He said that more activity was observed in Ganja avenue of Ahmadli settlement and some regions of Shamakhy and Ismayilli region in the recent days: “These areas are always recognized as landslide areas. When ambient sediments increase, the tension of the landslide zones increases. Observations are constantly being carried out in landslide zones due to the season.”

Garalov noted that monitoring is being conducted on the roads inclined to landslide in Azerbaijan every month.
