By the support of Azerbaijani Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies and Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijan-based Neyro Tex Company has produced voice-controlled mini computers for blind people for the first time in the world.
On November 13, The Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies has introduced 100 units of same computers to he Azerbaijan Association of Blinds.
Chief of staff at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Vidadi Zeynalov noted that this device has not monitor and keyboard and it is controlled by voice. It’s possible to enter online news sites use e-mail, listen all information in www.e-eye.az site, which was created by Ministry of Communication and IT.
He also noted that the software was in Azeri language. It also could be used as an e-translator.
These computers, introduced by Ministry, were supplied with GSMN numbers and 1-year open internet line. BY the end of this year, more 100 mini-computers will be introduced to the Association.
