Azerbaijan is expected to declare five non-working days over the New Year holiday and World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day. Dec. 31, 2011-Jan. 4, 2013 are to be non-working days, the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Dec. 31 is a non-working day as it is World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day. Additionally, Jan. 1-2 will be non-working days over the New Year holiday.
Since Dec.29 -30 fall on a weekend, five days will be non-working days. The Cabinet of Ministers will approve the decision soon.
According to the law dated Dec. 30, 2005 on amending the labor code, if a holiday falls on a weekend, then it is automatically transferred to the next working day.
