Iran to open specialized clinic at border crossing point

A specialized clinic for the treatment of infertility will start operating at Bilasuvar Border Crossing Point (BCP) in the near future. This was stated by the head of the scientific, cultural and research center of the Iranian province Ardebil Akbar Ghasemi, the Iranian news agency IRNA reports on Thursday.

The clinic will serve patients from Azerbaijan as well, Ghasemi said.

Over four thousand citizens of Azerbaijan cross the Bilasuvar Border Crossing Point (BCP) on a daily basis, 40% of these visits are for medical treatment purposes, Bilasuvar (Iran) municipal executive Rasul Zibanizhad said.
Bilasuvar and Julfa BCPs function between Azerbaijan and Iran along with Astara BCP.

Iran unilaterally abolished visa requirements for citizens of Azerbaijan. Visa is not required for Azerbaijani citizens visiting Iran from January 1, 2010.
