The draft law on this issue has been discussed at today’s meeting of Azerbaijani Parliament. The draft law has been put to voting and passed.
MP Fazil Mustafa said 10 MPs prepared proposal on the establishment of Friendship Group between the parliaments of Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and wanted to consult on this issue.
Chairman of Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov said the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has Mission to Azerbaijan, charter flights are carried out, MPs are also visiting the country: “But you are aware of Azerbaijani problems. The expression of the proposal does not mean consultation. Such issues need to be spoken about in the Parliament after consultation.”
