The 14th opera days, which are one of the biggest projects of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY, will be started at the Mersin State Opera and Ballet Theatre, Turkey from June 19 to 29.
The 14th Opera Days mark the 125th anniversary of the great Tatar poet Abdullah Tukay.13 artisans from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Moldova will participate in the events. According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Azerbaijan will be represented by the soloist of Azerbaijan Opera and Ballet Theatre İlaha Aphandiyeva. She has been the soloist of this theatre since 2005. İ.Aphandiyeva graduated from the courses of improvement of professional skill in the opera center named after Galina Vishnevskaya in Moscow. She successfully performs parties as Nigar in “Koroghlu” opera (Uzeyir Hajibayli), Gulzar in “Shah Ismayil” (Muslum Magomayev), Violetta in “Traviata” opera (Giuseppe Verdi) and etc.
