A meeting on pre-trial settlement of disputes between insurers and insured persons by the organization of Azerbaijan Insures Association (AIA) has been held.
Chairman of the organization, Mustafa Abbasbeyli, other members of the Union, heads of insurance and reinsurance companies, as well as representatives of the mediation company, which is expected to settle the dispute out of court attended the meeting.
Presentation was made for insurance companies related to the system of non-judicial settlement of insurance disputes, and then expanded discussion was held. According to the solution offered by mediation company, insurance disputes are expected to solve operatively - within a day. In case of complicated and special investigation, this period can be extended up to 30 days. Thus, this offered settlement mechanism includes meeting of mediator with both sides - together with the insured and insurer, and then with them separately in the direction of solving dispute. “Peace Treaty” is determined as a next step in the activity of the company in the case of renegotiating and agreement with the parties.
