2.4 kilowatt radio transmitter for surface broadcast of specialized news channel has been bought in Azerbaijan, Deputy Director of the Department for Financial and Technical Control of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council (NTRC) Isa Mammadov said.
The NTRC official noted that the news channe is to begin broadcasting at the end of October. "In fact, the channel is fully ready for broadcasting. There is already a program from Baku. It is not difficult to pass to surface broadcasting after the signal is released. The broadcasting is planned to be in HD format. "
Mammadov said that the channel will operate under the name ARB News or ARB 24: "I visited there and got acquainted with the preparation works. In fact, everything is ready, and today they can launch surface broadcasting. Probably, for present, they are testing themselves. "
He also reminded that broadcasting in the satellite was temporarily suspended from Tovuz to Baku during the preparation process for the broadcasting of new TV channel Türkel TV, but now the broadcast has been restored.
Notably, NTRC announced the winner of the competition from 16 November 2017 to 16 December 2017 for opening of the national TV channel Türkel TV (ARB 24) (Baku and the 31st TV channel on the Absheron peninsula) and gave him an unlimited term for television broadcasting within the republic on the 31st TV channel.
