Baku hosted a concert of singer Hassle Parish (Miroca Paris) and his eponymous group from Guinea-Bissau within the framework of festival "FANTAZIYA" organized by the European Union.
The due statement came from Deputy head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan Denis Daniilidis while speaking to the guests about the festival program, its significance and goals.
The soloist of the group Miroca Paris, who is rightly called "African sting", mentioned that he was in Baku for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and interest of Azerbaijanis in jazz music.
Then the singer and his band performed popular songs from their repertoire in the style of morna and funana. The concert was met with delight from the audience.
Notably, Miroka Paris is considered a follower of the world-famous singer of traditional Portuguese music Fado from Cape Verde, Cesaria Evora.
