“Totally 117000 jobs were created in Azerbaijan in 2012,” said Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Natig Mammadov addressing the 4th congress of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.
Mammadov said that 93 000 of new jobs are permanent. He noted unemployment rate in the country was 5.2 percent.
Touching on population’s incomes, Mammadov said the incomes increased by 13.8 percent in 2012: “If we take into consideration the increase in population’s income, 1 percent inflation can be considered normal.”
Mammadov noted the average salary is AZN 391, average pension AZN 161.
