Resident of Balakhani Industrial Park has started to export products to the United States and 3,000 furniture sets will initially be sent to this country in a year, Farman Islamli, head of Foriella LLC, resident of Balakhani Industrial Park, told.
"Initially, we start to cooperate with US Betax company. A container will be sent as the first party this year. There will be the bedroom furniture. An agreement has also been signed with the second company," he said.
Islamli said that Azerbaijani products are cheaper than the products of other countries: The annual turnover with Betax is about $500 million. This figure will be the same with the second company too. The cargos will be sent to Philadelphia and New York through Poti port. The furniture will mainly be sent to New Jersey and New York. The period of delivery is 30-45 days."
"Currently, those companies buy a part of these products from China and Eastern Europe. They agreed to cooperate with us after we sent a sample. Our products are 5% cheaper than others.
"Moreover, we also export products worth $400,000 to Georgia and Kazakhstan. If we start export to the second company of the US, out annual export will amount to $1.5 million."
"Foriella LLC, which engages in sponge waste recycling and furniture production, has been in operation since September 2017. AZN 4 million was invested in this field of production (including loans from Entrepreneurship Development Fund) and more than 170 people are working there."
